Ally, a Working Mom

The level of organization of your kitchen makes a big difference in how smoothly your daily life runs. The refrigerator is a key component of the kitchen’s order. In the hustle of everyday life, it’s easy to neglect the refrigerator. We rush from one meal to the next, stuffing new items in, frustrated that we can’t find anything or that it’s a bit of a mess. It takes time to do a thorough cleaning and reorganization of the refrigerator, but it’s well worth the effort! This work was accomplished virtually, with the client pulling items out, cleaning the interior of the refrigerator, grouping items, filling and labeling containers, and replacing them in an ordered arrangement. I gave guidance on every step of the process. Since crowding was a major part of the problem, a key piece of advice that I gave was to use their small supplemental refrigerator in the garage, which was normally only used for beverages, as an overstock area. Any multiples of an item could be stored in that refrigerator until it needed restocking. This freed up much needed space. Clear containers and labels from the client’s copy of a book by Clea Shearer of The Home Edit came in handy on this project!
